International law firm Clifford Chance advised Santander Bank Polska S.A. (acting as Facility Agent, Security Agent, Account Bank, Mandated Lead Arranger, Original Lender and Hedge Counterparty), CaixaBank, S.A., oddział w Polsce (acting as Mandated Lead Arranger and Original Lender) and CaixaBank, S.A. (as Hedge Counterparty) in connection with the execution of a PLN 152 million facilities agreement for the financing of a portfolio of 4 onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 36 MW, belonging to Elawan Energy, a global renewable energy company. The projects won the 2019 RES auction and will sign 15-year contracts for difference providing them with stable revenue streams.
Dentons advises Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska, EIB, CaixaBank and EKF on financing of wind farms developed by EDP Renewables
Dentons’ Banking and Finance practice team advised Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska, EIB, CaixaBank and EKF, Denmark’s Export Credit Agency, in relation to financing granted to subsidiaries of EDP Renewables for the development, construction and operation of six wind farms with a total capacity of approximately 150 MW. EIB’s share in the financing totals PLN 304 million (€66 million) while Banco Santander, Santander Bank Polska and CaixaBank are providing the remaining PLN 370 million (€81 million) of the financing, partly backed by an ECA guarantee provided by EKF.

International law firm Clifford Chance advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Santander Bank Polska S.A. on a syndicated financing in the total amount of up to PLN 205 million granted to Benefit Systems S.A. The proceeds will be used for investment expenditures related to organic growth, development of the MultiLife platform, acquisitions, eco-friendly investments, refinancing of the company’s existing indebtedness in the form of bank loans in Poland, and for general corporate purposes of Benefit Systems' capital group.
