British Polish Chamber of Commerce

On Wednesday, 25 March, BPCC members met at the Court Room of Warsaw's MaMaison Le Regina hotel with participants of the trade missions from the UK organised by Enterprise Europe Network in the East of England.

Commenting on the decision by the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee to cut interest rates to 0.1%, Suren Thiru, Head of Economics of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), said:

Christmas networking organised by Polish Business Link will take place at St Giles Casino in London. 

The Polish-Scottish Business Forum aims to raise the profile of Polish entrepreneurs in Scotland and to highlight their contribution to the Scottish economy in terms of wealth generated and jobs created. 

Welcoming the Bank of England’s decision to keep interest rates on hold, Suren Thiru, Head of Economics at the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), said:

We are delighted to inform you that The British Polish Chamber of Commerce is supporting City Week 2016, which will be held from 9 - 11 May 2016, at The Kia Oval Cricket Ground in London. City Week 2016 – the 6th annual event in the series – will take as its theme “Towards a New Era of Innovation and Competitiveness”.

Polish Business Link together with British Polish Chamber of Commerce held first business meeting this year in the seminar-mixer series.

The BPCC’s Healthcare policy group, together with UKTI and AstraZeneca held a meeting at the British Embassy to showcase UK best practice in the field of clinical trials – an important subject for the pharmaceutical sector.

The latest PBlink and BPCC event for Polish entrepreneurs in the UK was held in Leeds Town Hall on 20 November, bringing together over 40 people running their own businesses to learn about entrepreneurship in Britain. The event was judged a huge success, from the point of view of the high quality of business informational provided, the inspirational case studies and the networking that followed.

The BPCC has significantly stepped up the work it is doing to promote British exports to Poland. A trade team, headed by Patrick Ney, has been set up and is now in place in the new British Polish Business Centre (ul. Marszałkowska 89). To put the BPCC's new strategic direction into a broader context of UK exporters and other British chambers from around the world, the BPCC took part in a three-day long series of events aimed at globally optimising UK trade.
