A week in the UK focusing on trade
The BPCC has significantly stepped up the work it is doing to promote British exports to Poland. A trade team, headed by Patrick Ney, has been set up and is now in place in the new British Polish Business Centre (ul. Marszałkowska 89). To put the BPCC's new strategic direction into a broader context of UK exporters and other British chambers from around the world, the BPCC took part in a three-day long series of events aimed at globally optimising UK trade.

Optimising labour costs: creating new jobs - less bureaucracy, more benefits for employers
On 24 April 2013 BPCC members and invited guests met at at the newly-opened Warsaw Centre for Entrepreneurship, ul. Smolna 4 to learn about the benefits that employers can draw from employing people facing a difficult situation in the labour market. Tools supporting the employment of young people up to the age of 25, people aged 50+ and those with disabilities were presented, including funds available from public institutions and practical solutions offered by NGOs.

Prospects and trends in Poland's market for professionals and managers in 2013
The BPCC's HR Policy Group met at the Chamber's headquarters to discuss the labour market for specialists and managers. At the meeting, Artur Skiba, CEO of Antal International, presented the results of the 13th edition of the Antal Global Snapshot report. Special guests were Jacek Męcina, secretary of state in the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, and Agata Mężyńska, director of the Department of Economic Information PAIiIZ.
