Foreign investors in Poland are generally happy with Poland’s economic situation, and expect an improvement this year, for their companies, their sectors and for the economy as a whole. At the same time, satisfaction with the factors determining the business climate has increased. These are the findings of this year’s business climate survey conducted among companies affiliated with the International Group of Chambers of Commerce network (including the BPCC) by the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Poland)

The 75% occupancy limit does not mean working at full capacity, but the recovery of the hotel market is driven by the return of holiday travel and stronger demand for hospitality services. Although the industry is facing a number of challenges, hotel owners hold onto their assets, they are reluctant to sell at a discount, believing that business will return to pre-pandemic levels.

As JLL found in Miasteczko Wilanów in Warsaw, 2021 has seen the number of ground floor units grow by more than 100, an almost 25% increase on 2018. This trend is not limited to the capital city.

International law firm Clifford Chance advised Cornerstone Investment Management, a private equity investment manager, in cooperation with Kartesia, a European specialist financing provider, and Polish mushroom producer Okechamp S.A. on an investment in a unique joint project to create a leading player in the mushroom production sector.
