MDDP on Polish Taxes I e-invoicing in Poland from 2023
As the derogation was granted, Poland is on its way to implement a mandatory e-invoicing model. Invoices will be issued and received in a standardized XSD format through a governmental clearing system (the local abbreviation KSeF is often used). This is a revolution in the settlements of companies in the field of VAT, and the process of implementing the KSeF in companies requires many changes in operating, accounting and IT systems and is very time-consuming. Only proper and early planning of the process of implementing structured invoices will allow the company to be properly prepared for those changes.
Employee sobriety checks – new regulations coming soon
On 24 May 2022, a new draft amendment to the Labour Code allowing employers to check the sobriety of employees was adopted by the government. Employers have been waiting for a long time for legislation that will unequivocally give them the right to conduct such tests on their own among their staff.

Office supply hits record highs in regional cities
New office supply in regional cities in Poland hit a record high of 243,500 sq m in Q1 2022, representing an uplift of 5% on the previous peak in Q4 2019, reveals real estate advisory firm Savills. More new office space was delivered in the first three months of this year alone than in the whole of 2021.
