UK-CE Legal Tech Forum
The British Embassy in Warsaw, Venture Café and Women in Law Foundation have great pleasure to invite you to the first UK-CE Legal Tech Forum, which will take place online on 1st July at 17.00-20.00 CET.
The Forum will create a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion about the impact of technology on the future of legal services. Our outstanding speakers will talk about the latest initiatives and developments on the UK and European legal tech scene.
The event will showcase UK and CE innovative legal tech companies, whom you can meet in virtual space. Each UK and CE legal tech will be hosting a virtual table, where you can join their presentations and hold one-to-one meetings. The participating UK legal techs include: Capacityapp.io, Cognitiv Plus, Disputed.io, Avvoka, Define, Syke, The Link App and LPA/VisiRule. There will also be virtual tables hosted by: Whitecap Consulting for companies interested in setting up their operations in the North of England, Department for International Trade and European Legal Technology Association.
The UK is host to the largest legal services market in Europe. It is also the hub of European legal technology, with UK legal tech start-ups making up almost half of all legal tech start-ups in the EU. The UK legal tech sector is growing rapidly thanks to a unique mix of large tech and data science talent pool, world-leading law firms and easy access to capital through financial markets. Over £61 million was invested in 2019, compared to just £2.5 million in 2016. The legal tech market in Central Europe is also expanding fast in response to the growing demand, with Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic being top 3 contributors in the region. There are huge opportunities for trade and investment in legal tech between the UK and our vibrant region.
