UK best practice in water management
Meeting of the Clean Tech and Energy Policy Group on UK best practice in water management
Next year is the deadline across the EU for reaching the standards set by the European Commission's 2000 Water Framework Directive. It is clear that Poland along other countries will be challenged to meet the requirements across many areas of water management and flood prevention.
This event is aimed at BPCC members involved in environmental protection (consulting engineers etc) and representatives of Poland's national water management board, KZGW, and environment ministry and other interested public sector bodies.
After a presentation of the current situation in Poland's water management, there will be a presentation outlining the UK's approach to complying with the Directive, followed by a panel discussion focusing on the institutional obstacles facing water management in Poland.
There will also be an overview of the EU funding available for investment projects in the water management sector within the 2014-2020 budget perspective.
Among the speakers will be:
Jadwiga Ronikier -Director of Environment and Industry department at Atkins Polska
Tomasz Hoffmann – CEO of PNO Consultants
