Future generations will not work as we are working today. Hear about the changes at a joint meeting of two BPCC policy groups, then see with your eyes how tomorrow's workplace will look during a future-themed business mixer.

Technological and demographic trends are bringing on a revolution in the way the workplace looks and functions. Cloud computing, laptops, tablets and smartphones, BYOD (bring your own device), and the arrival on the job market of the Millennial Generation will profoundly change to the way the office looks and functions. The workspace of tomorrow will be shared – employees may sit anywhere to use their laptops, keeping personal items in a locker rather than on an assigned desk. Open-plan spaces are divided with quiet rooms, shared kitchen areas, meeting rooms and other functional spaces. With 20+% of the staff out of office at any time, the main benefit of shared-desking is that total floor space requirements are smaller. Use of paper at photocopiers and printers falls dramatically as paperless bureaucracy finally becomes a reality.

This workplace revolution will have a profound impact on business, affecting the way we furnish and supply the office, our working habits, relations with employees. This event will give you a glimpse of the future, and a chance to debate future working practices with other managers. After the formal presentations and tour of the workplace of the future, there'll be a business mixer.
