Interim manager: Opportunities and threats for the company
Wardyński & Partners, Hays Polandinvite you to participate in an outsourcing workshopInterim manager:Opportunities and threats for the company
An interim manager is typically a person with very high qualifications, serving as an outside expert for specialtasks, who comes onboard for a strictly defined purpose such as putting the firm back on its feet whenproblems grow beyond the control of management. An interim manager temporarily manages the enterprise,a division, or a specific project. An interim manager may, but need not, also serve as a management boardmember or proxy.
Before hiring an interim manager, it may be necessary to resolve a number of legal issues, such as:
- The nature and characteristics of the legal relationship between the interim manager and thecompany—e.g. employment or a service contract
- The decision-making authority of the interim manager—corporate and regulatory aspects, particularly in the case of public companies and financial institutions
- The responsibility of the interim manager and consequences of the manager’s actions for thecompany—civil, criminal and administrative liability.
Representatives of Hays Poland will share practical information from the market concerning the popularity ofinterim management among clients which may be interested in project manager services as well ascandidates who choose to work on a project basis instead of permanent employment. In addition, the subjectof the presentation will present the results of the survey carried out among the elite group of interimmanagers.
During the workshop, persons working as interim managers will present case studies they have encounteredin their practice.
