Executive Talent - Executive Development
As Poland's economy continues to grow, more firms are reporting difficulties in recruiting and retaining top management. Anecdotal evidence suggests that more and more Polish executives are finding senior positions abroad, with regional or even global responsibilities.
As Poland's economy continues to grow, more firms are reporting difficulties in recruiting and retaining top management. Anecdotal evidence suggests that more and more Polish executives are finding senior positions abroad, with regional or even global responsibilities. Is Poland training enough top managers? Are companies investing enough in their executives? What type of executive development is most effective in delivering the leadership talents that tomorrow's business will need?
This meeting of the BPCC's HR policy group brings together experts from business and executive education to look at the market for senior managers in Poland. Polish executives are said to manage in an authoritarian style, and prone to micro-management. Does this generalisation paint a true picture? What challenges face Polish executives managing international, multi-disciplinary and multi-generational teams? Can these challenges be overcome through appropriate management training? These issues will be open to discussion among policy group members from the HR field.
The meeting will also see the launch of the new BPCC-IBD Scholarships programme for a new Executive MBA course offered by IBD Business School in Warsaw, co-designed with the UK’s Ashridge Business School, from April 2016.
