Changing climate: an urgent need for adaptation

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness on the ongoing process of climate change and the need for adaptation measures.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness on the ongoing process of climate change and the need for adaptation measures. Municipal authorities, business leaders, and NGOs concerned with the issue of sustainable development are encouraged to attend.

The event programme will address what is climate change and how quickly is the situation developing, what can be expected in the next few decades, and what measures must take place in order to prepare our everyday lives to these changes. We would like to create an opportunity to discuss the opportunities and threats resulting from climate change: the adaptation of urban areas (the AdaptCity project) and climate resilience from the business perspective (the report, "Climate Change and Business Survival", by Mott MacDonald and the Global Sustainability Institute).
