On November 21, 2018, the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce together with Grant Thornton organized the meeting ,,Your security in the day of the GDPR. How did the Polish market adopt the RODO? What are the challenges ahead of us? ‘’. The meeting was held at the headquarters of Thermopatch, a leading manufacturer in the field of labeling, transfers and emblems for textiles.

On October 31, 2018 a meeting of the BPCC manufacturing policy group took place at the headquarters of Polaris, the largest producer of quads and motorbikes in Opole.

For the third time this autumn, the BPCC brought together manufacturers to discuss automation of the workplace.

It was standing room only at the Regus on Smolna 40 on Wednesday 14 November for the latest in the quarterly series of Construction and Real Estate Breakfasts.

BPCC was honoured to attend the official launch of Poeton facility in Rzeszów and is proud to support British investment in Podkarpacie.

On October 25 in Wrocław another BPCC & Aviva Investors meeting on  the Act on Employee Capital Plans took place.

Workplace issues surrounding the introduction of technology were discussed at a CEO Breakfast held in the Sheraton Hotel Warsaw on 21 September 2018.

The BPCC’s Manufacturing Industries Group met on the 12th of September in Ropczyce, near Rzeszów, at the factory of Aero Gearbox International (AGI).

Algorithms and robots will be responsible for something between 30% and 45% of all existing jobs disappearing by 2030, according to reports by organisations like PwC and the Economist Intelligence Unit. At the same time, Poland (and most advanced economies around the world) faces a demographic dip. Will shortages in the workplace cancel out job losses created by technology? Or will one exacerbate the other?

British-Polish Chamber of Commerce is becoming more and more active in the regions and organises activities at the sites of its members across south of Poland.
