Tensar´s high-performance range of innovative geogrids has been continuously developed since being introduced in the 1970s. Our state-of-the-art geogrids have been rigorously and exhaustively tested by leading universities, independent laboratories and national authorities around the world, as part of research projects and, most importantly, under site conditions. This includes research carried out by the Technical Universities of Gdansk and Silesia.
Tensar International has been active in the Polish market for more than 20 years, working successfully with its nationwide distributor BID Drotest Sp. Recently, the owners of Drotest took the decision to reduce the company’s range of activities, and therefore Tensar decided to establish a local operation in Gdansk.
As well as recruiting leading industry professionals, Tensar has taken on former civil engineers, designers and customer service staff from Drotest who were key to Tensar´s success in Poland. Tensar Polska Sp z.o.o. is led by Jacek Kawalec, regional director continental Europe, together with Michal Golos, who leads the design and back office, and Maciej Pustulka, who’s responsible for the commercial team.
Tensar Polska has established local warehousing and logistics services to deliver TriAx, Biaxial and Uniaxial grids on time to sites across Poland. The company is ready to provide certified and proven complete components for reinforced soil structures for slopes, walls and bridge abutments, along with other unique products used in asphalt reinforcement, hydro- and geo-engineering. The team in Poland will be supported by Tensar’s global technology team.
